The Napa Valley Nonprofit Board PICK (The Board PICK) was created to strengthen the nonprofits that serve our community by helping them build their organizational capacity. PICK is short for Passion, Interest, Commitment and Knowledge, the highly desirable characteristics of potential board members.
Why participate? Board service is for everyone and a chance to build a stronger and healthierNapaValleycommunity. Whether just starting out, a mid-career professional or a seasoned veteran, there is a nonprofit that will value your talents.
The Board PICK features nonprofits both large and small, from animal welfare to the environment to youth and everything in between. You’ll speak directly with their leadership teams and learn first-hand about their needs and goals. Participating nonprofits include:
American Red Cross Napa County Chapter, Area Agency on Aging, California Youth Connection, CASA, Cope Family Center, Family Service of Napa Valley, If Given A Chance Foundation, Napa County Resource Conservation District, Napa Valley Community Housing, Napa Valley Education Foundation, Napa Valley Hospice & Adult Day Services, Napa Valley Museum, Napa Valley Support Services, Napa Valley Wine Library Association, On the Move, ParentsCAN, St. Helena Hospital Foundation, Solano Napa Habitat for Humanity, We Care Animal Rescue and Wolfe Center.
In a nutshell, The Board PICK will bring potential Board candidates together with the senior leadership from these nonprofits to mix and mingle over a glass of wine while discussing their respective needs and interests.
The Board PICK will held on April 30th at the Paul Ash lobby of the Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
